Welcome to the one and only approved fanlisting for the Christian "religion's" Antichrist. What exactly is a fanlisting? Well according to TFL.org, a fanlisting is: "A place for all the fans of a particular show, movie, actor/actress, singer, etc... to come together and build the biggest listing of people all around the world who are fans of that subject."

According to Webster, the Antichrist is the epithet of the great antagonist who was expected by the early church to set himself up against christ in the last days before the second coming. The English word, Antichrist, is anglicized from the Greek, and literally means "instead of christ", which would explain the name given to the fanlisting. The expected role of the antichrist differs according to which branch of christianity you belong to, and most christian denominations disagree on what will happen in the "end times", and the role that Satan and the Antichrist will play. Among those that actually believe the Antichrist will arise in the future, there is a generally belief that sometime prior to the return of jesus, there will be a period of "trials and tribulations", during which the Antichrist (inspired by Satan), will attempt to win supporters, and silence anyone or make enemies of any country who refuses to approve of him. Here lies the metaphor, "recieve his mark". In this particular view, an event titled "White Throne Judgement" will take place, at which time both the living and the dead alike will be resurrected, some for everlasting life, and some for everlasting death. Followerers of god and jesus will be admitted to the presence of god; but everyone who would not repent of the Antichrist will be sent to an "outer darkness". Finally, the "Dragon" (often interpreted as Satan), the "Beast" (often interpreted as the Antichrist) and the "false prophet" (interpreted in many ways) who compels the world to worship the Beast (lie), and all who received his mark (cast their lot with him), will be thrown into a lake of fire together with death and Hell. These views are based on controversial passages in the Apocalypse of John, more commonly known as the Book of Revelation.
